Chris King ThreadFit T47x24X Ceramic Bottom Bracket

Chris King ThreadFit T47 x 24X:
These bottom brackets for the T47 bottom bracket shell standard, with a 47x1.1 mm thread diameter, allow the installation of MTB, gravel and road bike cranksets with a 24 mm crank axle and 68 mm or 73 mm bottom bracket shell widths. These bottom brackets are designed for frames with the T47 thread and cranks with 24 mm or 24–22 mm axles. To fit the Chris King ThreadFit T47 24X bottom brackets to the various axles and shell widths, a conversion kit is still required. This allows the Chris King bearings to be adapted to all road, gravel and MTB cranks with 24 mm axles, Shimano Hollowtech II, FSA MegaExo, Race Face X-Type and 24–22 mm, SRAM GXP and all bottom bracket shell widths.
Chris King Ceramic Bearings:
Chris King’s ceramic bearings offer the same qualities in terms of durability, maintenance and performance as the tried-and-tested steel angular contact ball bearings. The key difference lies in the bearing balls used. One of the most outstanding features of the ceramic balls is their incredible geometric perfection and roundness; furthermore, the extremely smooth surface guarantees optimal rolling performance and precision fit. Furthermore, they are even lighter and harder. Embedded in external bearing cups, the multi-sealed ceramic bearings are virtually indestructible.
Chris King develops and manufactures the ball bearings in Oregon, USA. Every single Chris King bearing is inspected and assembled by hand. Unlike conventional radial bearings, Chris King builds fully sealed, full-contact angular contact ball bearings and equips them with significantly more balls than in conventional bearings. Rather than wearing out, Chris King ball bearings, like a fine wine or a high-quality guitar, improve with age. All Chris King bearings can be serviced without special tools. Simply remove the retaining ring and seal, clean the bearing and re-lubricate it for a lifetime of reliable rolling.

T47 threaded bottom bracket shell
The bottom bracket shells have a width of 68 to 121 mm and a 47x1.0 mm thread, with an outer diameter of 47 mm, into which the bearing cups are screwed. Both bearing cups are screwed in the direction of travel. Adjustment to the different shell widths is achieved using the washers included in the delivery.
Chris King offers the T47 bottom brackets in two versions: the T47I, with narrower cup shells for 86.5 mm, 89.5 mm and 121 mm wide T47 bottom bracket shells, and the T47X bottom bracket with wider cup shells for 68 mm and 73 mm T47 bottom bracket shells.
Shimano Hollowtech II crank axle 24 mm / Road - MTB:
The Shimano Hollowtech II crankset system features a solid 24 mm axle. The road bike cranks have an axle length of 110 mm and the MTB cranks 120 mm. The respective bottom brackets are compatible with one another. The DH Saint and Zee cranks for 83 mm and 100 mm installation widths have longer axles and only fit frames with correspondingly wider bottom bracket shells.
Sram GXP axle system:
The SRAM GXP crankset system with different axle diameters. The outer diameter of the axle on the drive side is 24 mm and 22 mm on the left side. GXP-compatible bottom brackets are required for this.
Race Face X-Type crank axle 24 mm:
The Race Face X-Type crankset features a solid 24 mm axle, similar to the Shimano Hollowtech II cranks. The X-Type MTB cranks for 73 mm and 68 mm bottom bracket shells have an axle length of 120 mm.
FSA MegaExo 24 mm / Road - MTB:
The FSA MegaExo crankset has a 24 mm through-axle, similar to the Shimano Hollowtech II system. However, some models feature a 24.7 mm axle. These bottom brackets are not compatible with those models.
