Sram GX Type 2.1 rear derailleur

The new Sram GX rear derailleur with a roller bearing clutch for regulating chain tension, and a cage lock for easy removal and installation.

SRAM Type 2 Roller Bearing Clutch:

In the new rear derailleurs, Roller Bearing Clutch Technology ensures that the cage can build up tension. A needle-bearing clutch prevents the chain from moving forward too easily; the chain remains taut and does not strike the derailleur hanger. This reliably prevents the chain from coming off, even without a chain guide on the crank.

SRAM Type 2.1 Cage Lock:

To enable quick and easy removal of the rear wheel, SRAM uses Cage Lock technology on the Type 2.1 rear derailleurs. At the touch of a button, the derailleur cage locks into place and can be swung out without tension, making wheel removal significantly easier. Once the rear wheel has been refitted, the cage is swung far forward, the spring tension is re-engaged, and the derailleur is ready for the trail.

The SRAM GX 10-speed rear derailleurs are only compatible with SRAM 10-speed MTB and 10-speed road bike shifters. Not compatible with Shimano shifters.
