Sram XX1 X-Horizon rear derailleur

The Sram XX1 11-speed components – the new super-light drivetrain concept featuring a single chainring and an 11-speed cassette with 10–42 teeth – replaces the 2- or 3-speed MTB drivetrain whilst offering almost the same gear range.

The rear derailleur for the Sram XX1 groupset. With its horizontal parallelogram design and offset upper pulley, X-HORIZON technology ensures a constant chainline across all 11 gears, delivering fast, precise shifting. Roller Bearing Clutch technology reduces chain slap. SRAM Cage Lock technology makes wheel changes easier despite the rear derailleur’s high spring tension. Together with the XX1 Trigger or Grip Shifter, the XX1 X-Horizon rear derailleur forms the backbone of X-Actuation technology for incredibly smooth shifting performance across the entire 10-42 cassette.

SRAM Type 2.1 Cage Lock:

To enable quick and easy removal of the rear wheel, SRAM uses Cage Lock Technology on its Type 2 rear derailleurs. At the touch of a button, the derailleur cage locks into place and can be swung out without tension, making wheel removal significantly easier. Once the rear wheel is refitted, the cage swings far forward, the spring tension is re-engaged, and the derailleur is ready for the trail.
