Shimano 105 R7000 Disc groupset

As a complete package, the Shimano 105 R7000 groupset in the disc version with flat-mount disc brakes, optionally with bottom bracket and brakes. We supply the groupsets with all necessary shift and brake cables.

You can optionally select the bottom bracket that fits your frame. As Shimano only offers two types of bottom bracket, we have suitable Wheels bottom brackets for all press-fit sizes in our range. These are also available with high-quality full-contact or ceramic bearings

The Shimano 105 components feature the technology of the Dura-Ace R9100 components, Shadow rear derailleur technology, new front derailleur mechanics, a lighter crankset and a wide range of gear ratios. Thanks to slightly simpler materials, Shimano offers affordable, lightweight and durable 11-speed road bike components with the same high-quality technology. The new Shimano 105 11-speed drivetrain allows you to tune the bike for specific uses through various gear combinations. The Shimano 105 FC R7000 crankset can be fitted with the following chainring combinations: 50-34, 52-36, 53-39 teeth

Shimano 105 RD-R7000 rear derailleur:

The Shimano Ultegra RD-R7000 SS short cage rear derailleur can be used with a cassette with a maximum of 30 teeth; for 11-32 and 11-34 tooth cassettes, the RD-R7000 GS medium cage rear derailleur is required. Thanks to its greater shifting capacity, it is also compatible with compact cranksets. The new Wide Link design at the rear derailleur joints reduces weight whilst increasing stiffness and shifting performance.

Shimano 105 FD-R7000 front derailleur:

The cable routing of the FD-R7000 front derailleur has been adjusted to further reduce the force required for shifting. The precise and simple adjustment of the front derailleur offers more cable routing options and integrated cable tension adjustment.

Shimano 105 Disc STI R7020 Shift/Brake Lever:

With the STI Disc ST-R7020 shift-brake lever, Shimano introduces a very compact shift-brake lever for hydraulic disc brakes and mechanical shifting systems, marking another milestone in the development of hydraulic disc brake systems for road bikes. These disc brake levers are based on the technology of the 105 STI and are compatible with Shimano’s mechanical Dura-Ace 9000, Ultegra 6800 and 105 5800 11-speed groupsets. Shimano’s engineers have succeeded in integrating a mineral oil cylinder, including the complete braking system, into the nevertheless very compact mechanical shift-brake levers. Thanks to the improved positioning of the brake cable, a smooth braking action is achieved, leading to optimised control in extreme conditions. The Dual Control shift/brake levers can be optimally adjusted to the rider via a reach adjustment and are also very well suited to riders with small hands. Shifting is significantly faster with the new shift levers. This is achieved through a 20 per cent shorter cable. The grips feature an ergonomic design for greater comfort – even over long distances.

Shimano 105 BR-R7070 brake caliper:

The BR-RS7070 road bike disc brake caliper is torsion-resistant and approved for brake discs up to 160 mm. Equipped with L02A brake pads featuring external cooling fins, brake heat is reliably dissipated. These calipers are compatible with all Shimano disc brake levers. Recommended brake discs: SM-RT70

Flat Mount Standard:

The new Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount standard, the rear brake caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required for caliper mounting. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter.

Shimano 105 CS-R7000 cassette

To reduce weight and achieve greater torsional stiffness, the three largest sprockets are riveted to an aluminium spider. A new steel alloy improves durability. The excellent shifting performance of the previous model is naturally retained, ensuring extremely quiet chain operation on the sprockets

The 11-speed cassettes in the Shimano 11-speed series are not compatible with older Shimano rear freehub bodies. Mavic freehub bodies are compatible with the 11-speed cassettes; Campagnolo, DT Swiss, Fulcrum and Shimano wheels are 11-speed compatible from the 2013 version onwards. Replacement freehub bodies are available for some older wheelsets.

Shimano 105 chain HG601

The Shimano 11-speed chain with SIL-TEC surface coating for ultra-low friction and improved wear resistance thanks to chrome-plated pins. The milled inner links also reduce weight. Recommended by Shimano for road bike, MTB, touring and e-bike use

Compatible bottom bracket shells – bottom brackets

There is now a wide variety of bottom bracket shells on modern frames. Shimano only offers compatible bottom brackets for some of these. To ensure the Ultegera group fits all frames, we supply optional FSA or Wheels MFG bottom brackets for the bottom bracket shells for which Shimano does not offer bottom brackets. Wheels Outboard bottom brackets are significantly more durable than standard press-fit bottom brackets, as the cup halves are bolted together, ensuring they sit flat and securely within the frame. Wheels bottom brackets are available with different bearing grades: ABEC3 standard bearings, angular contact bearings and ceramic bearings.
