Shimano Dura-Ace FC 9000 crankset, 10x2-speed, asymmetrical 110 mm chainring spacing, 4-arm
With the FC 9000 cranksets, Shimano offers an extremely versatile crankset in the 11-speed Dura-Ace series, which can be combined with 6 different chainring sizes. To achieve this, the new 4-arm bolt pattern has been developed, which secures the chainrings precisely at the points subject to the greatest stress.
Hollow-forged chainrings, thin-walled hollow-forged crank arms and a reduction in the outer surface area reduce the weight of the new Shimano Dura-Ace FC9000 crankset to 683 grams, including the bottom bracket. The Dura Ace Hollowtech II crankset combines an attractive aerodynamic design with remarkable weight savings and pairs this with completely new features. This high-tech beauty is made from very thin, hollow-forged aluminium and offers several innovations in road bike technology. The outer chainring is hollow, which saves weight whilst making it 20 per cent stiffer. The chainring teeth have been redesigned for improved chain contact, resulting in better power transfer. Despite being lighter than the previous model, the crankset’s stiffness remains at the same high level.
The Shimano Dura Ace FC 9000 crankset can be fitted with the following chainring configurations:
