Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000 rear derailleur

The Shimano Ultegra R8000 components feature the technology of the Dura Ace R9000 components, Shadow rear derailleur technology, new front derailleur mechanics, a lighter crankset and a wider range of gear ratios. Thanks to slightly simpler materials, Shimano offers affordable, lightweight and durable 11-speed road bike components with the same high-quality technology.

Ultegra RD-R8000 rear derailleur:

The Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000 SS short cage rear derailleur can be used with a cassette of up to 28 teeth; for 11-30 and 11-32T cassettes, the RD-R8000 GS medium cage rear derailleur is required. Thanks to its greater shifting capacity, it is also compatible with compact cranksets. The new Wide Link design at the derailleur links reduces weight whilst increasing stiffness and shifting performance.
