Shimano GRX BR RX810 brake caliper

The BR-RR8100 road bike disc brake caliper is torsion-resistant and approved for brake discs up to 160 mm. Equipped with brake pads featuring external cooling fins, brake heat is reliably dissipated. These brake calipers are compatible with all Shimano disc brake levers. Recommended brake discs: SM-RT800

Flat Mount Standard:

The Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. A flat adapter is still required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter. This adapter is suitable for 140 and 160 mm discs; it is simply turned over for the larger size.

With the Flat Mount Standard, the rear brake caliper sits directly on the chainstay; with 140 mm disc size, no adapter is required for caliper mounting. The bolts then pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. For 160 mm discs, the SMMAR160 adapter is required. To mount the brake calipers on the frame, additional bolts are required, which are screwed through the rear stay. These are available in different lengths to suit rear stays of varying thicknesses.
