Shimano GRX FC RX820 crankset

The single-chainring crankset for the new 12-speed GRX series, combined with the 10x51 cassettes, offers a gear ratio range of 510 per cent.

The Shimano Gravel FC-RX820-1 crankset offers a balanced combination of weight savings, optimised efficiency and a range of gear options to meet the varying demands of riding on mixed terrain. By combining a 10-45T or 10-51T cassette with a 40T or 42T chainring, you can choose between tighter gear spacing or maximum range, depending on your preference. The FC-RX820-1 is available in crank arm lengths of 170, 172.5 and 175 mm, offering further scope for customisation.

Shimano GRX crankset FC-RX820:

The GRX cranksets have been developed to handle a wide variety of terrain and riding styles. All versions feature a wider chainline, which creates more space in the frame design and allows for wider tyres. The GRX single-chainring cranksets minimise shifting complexity by requiring shifting only at the rear cassette, and are equipped with chainrings featuring Shimano’s Dynamic Chain Engagement+ tooth profile, which ensures optimal chain retention, particularly on rough terrain.
