Sram GX Eagle AXS eTap rear derailleur

The new rear derailleur for the Sram GX Eagle AXS 12-speed groupset with a total capacity of 42 teeth. The Eagle AXS rear derailleur is the heart of the entire AXS system and far more than just a mechanical rear derailleur fitted with a battery and motor. It has a 10 mm shorter cage, sits further forward and further inwards than the mechanical Eagle rear derailleurs, and thus offers greater ground clearance and a wider cassette coverage. Water- and dust-resistant to IP69K standard. The Eagle AXS rear derailleur is specifically designed for single-chainring setups with cassette ranges from 10-50 to 10-52 teeth. The AXS platform allows for customisation of shifting. The lower, larger X-SYNC pulley with 14 teeth ensures sufficient capacity to handle cassettes with sprockets ranging from 10 to 52 teeth. To enable quick and easy removal of the rear wheel, SRAM employs Cage Lock Technology in the GX Eagle rear derailleurs. At the touch of a button, the derailleur cage locks into place and can be swung out without tension, making wheel removal significantly easier. Once the rear wheel has been refitted, the cage is swung far forward, the spring tension is re-engaged, and the derailleur is ready for the trail.
