Campa Super Record 12s rear derailleur
The new mechanical Super Record groupset with 12x2 gears. Campagnolo’s absolute professional-grade components, the finest materials, minimal weight and perfect workmanship – that’s Campagnolo Super Record as it has been known for decades. The victories this road bike groupset has secured over the years demonstrate the exceptional quality of the workmanship, the technologies and the high-quality materials that have always distinguished the groupset and made it a unique, outstanding product. Campagnolo offers two sprocket sets for the 12-speed components, covering all applications. With 11-29 and 11-32 tooth configurations, you get closely spaced cassettes that are also suitable for extreme mountain climbs.
Campa Record 12S Front Derailleur
Based on the new lever system for faster shifting, the new Super Record 12x2 Speed mechanical front derailleur introduces numerous technical innovations. The force required for shifting has been reduced by the split in the front crank arm, which prevents contact with the limit screw, and by the shape of the inner guide plate, which has been adapted to the characteristics of the new 12-speed chain. The fine adjustment of the derailleur positions, controlled via the shifters, prevents any contact with the chain even at maximum crossing. The plate fitted to the outer aluminium guide plate prevents potential chain drop when shifting up and speeds up downshifting, whilst also ensuring a quieter drivetrain.
Ergopower Campa Super Record Disc HO 12s
The proven Ultra-Shift Ergopower shifting mechanism with hydraulic disc brake system. The lever reach and the brake lever’s response can be adjusted, and non-toxic mineral oil is used as the brake fluid. Thanks to the adjustable pressure point, the response can be tailored entirely to personal preference and habits. The shifting mechanism features a variable maximum number of steps when shifting up, depending on the sprocket selected. The Ergopower allows for multiple shifts up or down across up to 5 sprockets. Quick positioning on the desired gear ratio during a strong acceleration on an incline or when approaching a bend: up to 4 gear ratios with the chain on the first 4 sprockets, up to 3 gear ratios with the chain positioned over the 4th sprocket. The carbon fibre brake lever guarantees superior braking performance from any grip position. The pivot point has been repositioned to a new, more effective location. Targeted improvements have been made to achieve higher performance.
Campa Disc Flat Mount brake calipers:
The flat-mount calipers of the Campagnolo Super Record disc brakes offer excellent stability with their 22 mm pistons made from Penol resin, as well as magnetic pad retention for simple and straightforward replacement. In addition to Campagnolo’s typically perfect workmanship, the brakes feature a wear indicator and smooth, friction-free operation. Campagnolo offers two different brake calipers for the Flat Mount brakes; there is a separate model for both 140 mm and 160 mm brake discs. The 160 mm version is supplied with mounting bolts. The 160 mm variant cannot be converted to 140 mm. The mounting bolts for the rear brake calipers are not included and are available separately in different lengths to suit different rear triangle thicknesses
We always recommend the 140 mm flat-mount calipers for both front and rear wheels. These can easily be retrofitted or upgraded to 160 mm using adapters. The Campa 160 mm flat-mount calipers can only be used with 160 mm discs.
Campa Super Record 12s crankset
The new right-hand cranks of the Record carbon fibre crankset utilise Ultra-Hollow Structure technology and feature a chainring mount with a highly innovative design. The four arms stem from the need to stiffen the crankset in the areas where the chain changes gear, whilst the connections between the arms and the crank are structurally designed to enable the best possible power transfer to the chain. Each arm provides a double mounting point for the chainrings, with two bolt circles identical for all gear combinations. The 8-bolt clamping system, developed by the Campy Tech Lab™ product development team, thus optimises the torsional and flexural stiffness of the entire crankset, increasing the value of the previous version by 12 per cent. Nevertheless, weight is kept low through the use of an even greater quantity of carbon fibre, which extends to the point where the larger chainring is attached to the arms. The left-hand cranks, also made of carbon fibre, differ from one another in their internal structure, creating a weight difference between the models in the range, whilst guaranteeing maximum stiffness across all versions.
Campagnolo Super Record Titanium Crankset Axle
The tried-and-tested system with Hirt threading ensures an extremely stable connection between the two titanium axle halves. As the connection of the axle lies exactly in the centre – and thus in the part of the axle construction subjected to the highest load – the forces exerted are absorbed optimally. The bolted connection, with the additional axle material, reliably prevents twisting, even with stronger and/or heavier riders. Therefore, despite the titanium axle, there are no restrictions regarding rider/system weight.
Campagnolo Record Ultra Torque bearing cups
The bearing cups for the Ultra Torque system feature a new anti-corrosion treatment and new seals. The bearings themselves are included with the cranks. Compatible with all Campagnolo Ultra Torque cranks; see the compatibility list below.
Campagnolo Super Record 12s Cassette
The new Super Record 12-speed cassettes feature thinner sprockets, a smaller footprint and unchanged dimensions compared to the 11-speed sprockets, meaning all requirements can be met with just two cassettes, ranging from 11 to 29 or 34 teeth. The new 12th sprocket enables linear upshifting or downshifting, with only one tooth skipped up to the seventh position, allowing the cyclist to find the optimal gear in all conditions. Furthermore, the adjacent sprockets ensure even faster, quieter and more precise shifting, thanks to the special tooth shape and surface treatment, which also extends the service life. The six largest sprockets are also available as two three-piece sets, each consisting of a single steel component, thereby minimising energy loss. Thanks to the spacers of uniform thickness, cassette installation is straightforward.
Campa Super Record S12 Chain
Thanks to special steel and a nickel-PTFE surface treatment, Campagnolo Record chains run extremely smoothly and are highly durable. The Ultra-Link chain locking system guarantees durability and optimal performance on the 12-speed sprockets. The chain pins of the Super Record 12-speed chain are hollow on the inside to reduce weight without compromising durability. The special tool UT-CN300 is required for installation.
