Actually, there was nothing to change about the Geiles Teil stem. It was super-stiff, beautiful and reliable. But that wasn’t good enough for the engineers at Tune: a four-point clamp and an unprecedented handlebar clamp design that almost looks like an optical illusion. Beautiful – resistance is futile. The Tune stem for 1 1/8-inch steerer tubes is a perfect combination of stiffness, weight and safety, tapered both inside and out to match the direction of force flow. Easy handlebar installation thanks to the removable front section. A very precise fit for clamping, for example, Schmolke carbon handlebars and carbon steerer tubes. An 8-degree angle to the head tube results in an angle of approximately 0 degrees to the ground when mounted in a flip-flop configuration on a road bike.
