ZS44/28.6 top thread diameter:

The ZS headset is pressed into the top of the head tube; the press-fit dimension in the frame is 44 mm at the top and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inch / 28.6 mm at the top.

ZS44/30 bottom threading:

The ZS headset is pressed into the head tube at the bottom; the press-fit dimension in the frame is 44 mm at the bottom and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inch at the bottom. The headset cone requires a 30 mm seat on the fork at the bottom.

ZS/Zero Stack – semi-integrated headset:

Head sets designated ZS / Zero Stack are also referred to as semi-integrated head sets. They require a frame designed for this purpose with an exact match for the bearing cups. Zero Stack refers to the minimal protrusion of the bearing cups from the head tube, whilst ZS44, for example, denotes the installation dimension, the outer diameter of the bearing cup and the inner diameter of the bearing cups within the frame. The headsets can usually be fitted without special tools; the frame simply needs to be cleanly pre-milled.
