Chris King NoThreadSet Headset

The Chris King NoThreadSet Tapered headset with EC34 top cup and EC44/40 bottom cup is designed for frames with a 30 mm press-fit diameter of 34 mm at the top and 44 mm at the bottom of the head tube, and forks with a tapered steerer tube diameter of 1 1/8 inch / 28.6 mm at the top and 1 1/5 inch / 40 mm at the bottom.

The headset was developed for tough MTB use and also performs well on road bikes. The bearing cups and cap covers are made from aluminium and CNC-machined; the industrial bearings are made from stainless steel with double seals and are so well-made that Chris King offers a 10-year warranty on all headsets.

The NoThreadSet headset with the newly developed GripLock cap. The multi-piece cap features a slotted cone ring, which allows for an even easier connection between the steerer tube and the head tube.

Chris King EC34/28.6 External Cup Installation Dimensions:

The EC34 headset is pressed into the head tube. The press-fit dimension in the frame is 34 mm and the steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inch / 28.6 mm.

Chris King EC 44/40 External Cup installation dimensions:

The EC44/40 headset is pressed into the head tube. The press-fit depth in the frame is 44 mm and the steerer tube diameter is 1 1/5 inches / 40 mm. The headset cone has an internal diameter of 40 mm.
