Ritchey WCS Carbon Zero Stack Headset

On the Ritchey WCS Carbon headset, the A-Head cap is made of carbon. Without compromising on stability or durability, this results in a weight saving of 16 grams. The WCS version of the Ritchey headset is fully equipped with high-quality industrial bearings. The 7075 aluminium bearing cups, as well as the well-sealed tapered precision bearing at the bottom and compact precision bearing at the top, are very easy to adjust and run with almost no resistance

Zero Stack headset system:

The ZS headsets require frames with reinforced head tubes, as the bearing cups are relatively short and the frame would otherwise be unable to absorb the forces involved. Unlike conventional EC headsets, the Zero Stack headset cups are no longer pressed in, but are inserted into the widened head tubes. The advantage lies in the larger bearings, which can then withstand higher loads.
