Ritchey Comp Zero Stack Headset

The Ritchey Comp Zero Stack semi-integrated bottom bracket, ZS55, for frames with a 55 mm press-fit diameter on the head tube and forks with a 1.5-inch / 40 mm steerer tube diameter at the bottom.

The affordable Comp version of the Ritchey headset is fitted with industrial bearings. The 7075 aluminium bearing cup and the compact precision bearing ensure long-lasting riding enjoyment.

Ritchey Comp headset bearings:

The cartridge bearings with stainless steel raceways and water-repellent Ritchey Special grease ensure robust and durable bearings.

Zero Stack headset system:

The ZS headsets require frames with reinforced head tubes, as the bearing cups are relatively short and the frame would otherwise be unable to absorb the forces involved. Unlike conventional EC headsets, the Zero Stack headset cups are no longer pressed in, but are inserted into the widened head tubes. The advantage lies in the larger bearings, which can then withstand higher loads.
