Chris King R45D rear hub

The road bike version of the Chris King hubs for disc brakes with Shimano Micro Spline freehub body.

With great attention to detail, Chris King’s engineers have developed the R45D series to produce a hub body that is both lightweight and optimised for stiffness. Thanks to the significantly larger hub flange, the spoke holes are further apart than on hubs from other manufacturers. This significantly increases stability and distributes forces more effectively across the hub flange. These hubs can be easily and simply converted to a 10x135 mm quick-release setup by swapping the axle.

Chris King Ceramic Bearings

Chris King’s ceramic bearings offer the same qualities in terms of durability, maintenance and performance, but are even lighter and harder than the tried-and-tested stainless steel bearings. One of the most outstanding features of the ceramic balls used is their incredibly geometrically perfect roundness; furthermore, the extremely smooth surface guarantees optimal rolling behaviour and precision fit. The ceramic bearings are even lighter and harder than the stainless steel bearings, housed in external bearing cups, multi-sealed and virtually indestructible.
