Chris King R45D front hub

The road bike version of Chris King hubs for disc brakes.

With great attention to detail, Chris King’s engineers have developed the R45D series to produce a hub body that is both lightweight and optimised for stiffness. Thanks to the significantly enlarged hub flange, the spoke holes are further apart than on disc hubs from other manufacturers. This significantly increases stability and distributes forces more effectively across the hub flange. These hubs can be easily and simply converted to a 9x100 mm quick-release setup by replacing the axle.

Chris King stainless steel bearings

Chris King stainless steel bearings are manufactured in Oregon, USA, and each bearing is inspected and assembled by hand. Unlike conventional radial bearings, Chris King builds sealed angular contact ball bearings that self-adjust during use rather than wearing out; like a fine wine or a high-quality guitar, the bearings improve with age. All bearings can be serviced without special tools; simply remove the retaining ring and seal, clean and re-lubricate – for lifelong reliability!
