DT Swiss 240 Hub

With the DT Swiss 240 hubs, the Swiss revolutionised lightweight hub construction years ago. Minimal weight combined with extremely good durability is something of a rarity, particularly in hub construction. The new EXP axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The EXP system in the DT Swiss 240 hubs integrates the gear ring and threaded ring, reducing the number of components and thus the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and therefore greater reliability. The complete interlocking of the tooth rings creates a large contact surface and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 hubs. The patented freehub body works with interlocking tooth rings. This guarantees loss-free power transmission.

The disc hubs with the 6-hole brake disc mount have a higher flange on the disc side. This increases the stability of the lacing, as the spokes are at the same angle on both sides. The MTB front hubs are not approved for radial lacing
