DT Swiss 240 EXP Straightpull Hub

The disc brake hubs from the DT Swiss 240 EXP series for use on MTBs, gravel bikes and touring bikes.

With the DT Swiss 240 EXP Straightpull hubs, minimal weight combined with extremely high durability is something of a rarity, particularly in hub construction. The new axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The ‘EXP’ in the DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs stands for the integration of the tooth ring and threaded ring, which reduces the number of components and thus lowers the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability. The full engagement of the 36-tooth pawls creates a large contact area and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 hubs. The patented freehub body works with interlocking ratchet discs. This guarantees loss-free power transmission. Straightpull refers to straight, non-offset spokes. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability.

DT Swiss 240 EXP rear hubs 12x142mm:

The DT Swiss EXP rear hubs can be easily converted to fit standard mountings: 10 x 135 mm quick-release, 10 x 135 mm thru-bolt, 12 x 135 mm and 12 x 142 mm thru-axle mountings. The new end cap mount is compatible with the previous classic designs, so even rare mounts such as 12x135 mm or 10x135 mm thru-bolt can be accommodated.
