Shimano Deore XT 8110 hub wheelset, DT Swiss E 532

The wheelset for enduro and trail riding. 30 mm inner rim width, the super-sturdy DT Swiss E 532 rim suitable for tyres up to 2.8” wide, and the robust Shimano XT hubs from the 12-speed series with the Micro Spline freehub body – very durable and low-maintenance. The Shimano Deore XT M8110 hubs allow you to choose between standard or Boost hubs for this wheelset.

Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:

We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to more than 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in concentricity, durability and stiffness from the materials. These wheels are, of course, tested multiple times for truing, and we also pre-load the spokes in the longitudinal direction. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period.

These wheels are made to order specifically for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of withdrawal for them. The handmade wheels are not eligible for a discount.

Shimano XT Hubs M8110:

With the Deore XT hubs, Shimano offers classic tapered-bearing MTB hubs that are extremely durable and easy to maintain. Super-polished raceways and balls, double high-performance seals and easy adjustability ensure years of riding enjoyment. Recommended for a wide range of applications from MTB to gravel and touring, the XT hubs provide a solid foundation for high-quality wheelsets. The new XT rear hubs with the Micro Spline freehub body for Shimano 12-speed MTB cassettes are only compatible with these. The raised hub flange significantly improves lateral stiffness.

DT Swiss Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheelsets. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheelsets. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building at the highest level. Thanks to the tapered middle section, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or durability.

Rim: DT Swiss E 532 Disc

Wide profiles are therefore a viable option even for the most demanding endurance riders, both in terms of price and performance. As a close relative of our EWS-winning welded rims, the E 532 packs the materials and technologies used by the world’s fastest racers into an affordable rim for the enthusiastic amateur rider.

The DT Swiss rims are equipped with rim flanges adapted for tubeless tape and can be easily upgraded to lightweight tubeless rims using DT Swiss tubeless tape
