The super-light quick-release with very high clamping force, also approved for use with disc brakes. The combination of a larger carbon lever and the new eccentric mechanism delivers enormous clamping force – 50 per cent more than the previous version.
The road bike version of the Tune DC quick-release weighs just 37 grams and is fitted with titanium axles. Despite their low weight, our quick-releases are not subject to any weight restrictions and can be used without hesitation. Lubricants are generally sticky and tend to attract dirt. Tune therefore uses a patent-pending dry lubrication method for the exposed and moving parts of the new series of DC quick-release skewers. Here, the solid lubricant molybdenum disulphide, similar to graphite, is incorporated into a coating. After a mud bath, unlike a bicycle chain, the skewer should not be lubricated, but rather cleaned. At least if you wish. The lubricating coating used not only ensures long-lasting lubrication but also allows the lever to be adjusted, even when closed. Gone are the days when you had to laboriously secure the quick-release. You can easily close the DC and then turn it to the desired position.
