The ATAC XC 12 is Time’s lightest off-road pedal, designed specifically for quick clipping in and trail speed. Time’s first XC pedal is also designed for your comfort thanks to an ergonomic design. It all starts with easy clipping in, thanks to a wide angle for positive engagement of the cleats. Once you’re clipped in, the features of the ATAC XC 12 really come into their own: lateral and diagonal freedom of movement for fewer injuries and less muscle fatigue. The pedal’s self-cleaning design clears mud and debris with every pedal stroke. The lightweight and robust ATAC XC 12, with a titanium axle and carbon body, offers easy and consistent engagement with a tension adjustment to suit your preferences and needs. This pedal is also ideal for gravel and cyclocross.
Time A.T.A.C. Auto Tension Adjustment Concept:
The Time Auto Tension Adjustment Concept offers simple, adjustment-free and highly ergonomic shoe retention. This very open system is practically dirt-resistant and maintenance-free. The 13 or 17-degree range of motion, depending on cleat mounting, ensures a natural foot and ankle position whilst pedalling. Thanks to the special ATAC design, ATAC TIME pedals self-clean of mud, sand, gravel and other debris, ensuring reliability and safety in all situations.
Time Bioperformance:
As with all Time pedals, the foot has 6 mm of lateral freedom of movement and the angle at which the foot can rest on the pedal allows for ±5 degrees of freedom of movement. This may take some getting used to when you first switch to Time pedals, but it allows for an ergonomically sound foot position. Your feet automatically find the correct position on the pedal.
Time self-cleaning concept:
When you step into the Speciale, the cleats automatically clean the open-arch binding mechanisms of mud and dirt, ensuring perfect function even under the most extreme conditions. The low spring tension, combined with the large release angle, ensures absolute reliability without the risk of accidental release.
Time Micro Adjustment:
The Micro Adjustment also allows you to adjust the release force within a range of plus or minus 5 degrees.
