TIME XPRO 12SL Pedal Set, PD-XPRO-12SL-C1
The XPRO 12 SL is the ultimate expression of pedal technology. This is the lightest and most ergonomic road pedal system on the market. The carbon body of the XPRO 12 SL and the proprietary design create a high-performance structure to transfer power from the legs to the road. Power transfer and stability are enhanced by a larger pedal surface area of 725 mm², compared to the already generous 700 mm² of the XPRESSO. The ICLIC system, with its pre-opened design, enables a positive click-in and greater comfort. This pedal, in combination with the ICLIC Float Cleat, allows for free movement both angularly and laterally whilst clipped in, reducing strain on the knees. TIME XPRO pedals offer three Q-factor options to provide the rider with greater ergonomic flexibility. Finally, the XPRO 12 SL features energy-saving ceramic bearings and a super-light hollow titanium spindle, resulting in a total weight of 87.3 grams per pedal. The carbon blade is adjustable in 3 positions to optimise tension. The pedal’s low stack height keeps the rider’s sole as close as possible to the centre of the pedal axle, which, together with the large pedal surface, results in unrivalled efficiency and high comfort when pedalling. We recommend a maximum weight of 90 kg.
With the Bioposition System, Time offers a perfect connection between the foot and the pedals. With a distance of just 13.5 mm between the sole of the shoe and the centre of the pedal axle, a large contact area providing 1.25 mm of lateral freedom of movement and 5 degrees of rotation, as well as a selectable Q-factor of 51.7 and 54.3 mm, power is transferred perfectly whilst protecting the joints.
Despite their low weight, the Time Xpro pedals feature an oversized contact area of 725 square mm. The excellent ergonomics, with a distance of just 13.5 mm to the axle centre and 15 degrees of freedom of movement, allow for extremely effective power transfer and an ergonomic foot position. The new Iclic system now also offers adjustable release tension. The cover on the underside ensures excellent aerodynamics.
The new road bike pedals from Time with a revolutionary clip-in mechanism – the Xpro. Thanks to a special mechanism, the pedal remains open when unclipped, so that clipping in requires almost no effort. There is no spring force to overcome when clipping in, as is the case with other systems. The new Iclic system features three-stage adjustable release tension, and Iclic cleats with no play are available as an option.
Time PedalFIT
Pedal Fit is about much more than preventing injuries or joint pain. It’s about improving your performance on the bike. When you’re riding, the pedal is the only moving link between rider and machine, making it an extremely important component. Adjusting your pedals to your bike (and to you) is often more complicated than it needs to be. Here are the basic terms you should know and how you can use them to your advantage.
