Sram X01 Eagle AXS eTap rear derailleur

The new rear derailleur for the SRAM X01 Eagle AXS 12-speed groupset with a total capacity of 42 teeth. The Eagle AXS rear derailleur is the heart of the entire AXS system and far more than just a mechanical rear derailleur fitted with a battery and motor. It has a 10 mm shorter cage, sits further forward and further inwards than on the mechanical Eagle rear derailleurs, and thus offers greater ground clearance and a wider cassette coverage. Water- and dust-resistant to the IP69K standard. The Eagle AXS rear derailleur was developed specifically for 1x drivetrains with a 10-50 tooth range. The AXS platform allows for customisation of shifting. The lower, larger 14-tooth X-SYNC pulley ensures sufficient capacity to handle cassettes with sprockets ranging from 10 to 50 teeth. To enable quick and easy removal of the rear wheel, SRAM uses Cage Lock Technology on the X01 Eagle rear derailleurs. At the touch of a button, the derailleur cage locks into place and can be swung out without tension, making wheel removal significantly easier. Once the rear wheel has been refitted, the cage is swung far forward, the spring tension is restored, and the derailleur is ready for the trail.
