This saddle features a wider nose to provide greater support and stability in the forward-leaning, aerodynamic racing position. Advances in digital 3D printing allow us to develop a new saddle without the constraints or limitations of traditional production methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding is manufactured by Carbon® using their revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light, oxygen-permeable optics and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with outstanding mechanical properties, resolution and surface quality.
Fizik Adaptive:
The evolution of digital 3D printing has enabled the development of a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by conventional manufacturing processes and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding is manufactured by Carbon using the revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with outstanding mechanical properties, resolution and surface finish. With the help of Carbon’s technology, biomechanics experts and engineers are presented with an unprecedented opportunity: they can design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle and tailor each of these zones separately to specific mechanical properties, with each of these key functional zones featuring characteristic damping and mechanical response that are progressively and seamlessly integrated within the same padding. The saddle is very easy to clean. Even for the dirtiest road grime, all you need to do is hose it down with water. Whatever gets in, comes right back out. We have subjected it to the toughest tests by simulating accelerated weathering, UV ageing and wear resistance in accordance with strict protocols.
The Aeris comes with an optional link that allows a bottle cage to be attached to the rear of the saddle. The cage is designed to hold the bottles at an angle so that they do not get in the way during the critical ascent and descent phases in the transition zones. In accordance with UCI regulations, the Aeris is equipped with a revolutionary seatpost insert that not only enhances the aero feel but also offers a wide range of adjustment, allowing you to find the ideal riding position and slip through the wind.
Fizik Carbon Braided Frame:
The carbon frame is manufactured from a 3D weave. Its load-bearing capacity is comparable to that of titanium frames and is 50 per cent higher than that of conventional carbon frames. To increase stability, the carbon tubes are ovalised and increased in diameter to 9 mm. In the area of the seatpost clamp, the tubes are additionally hand-wrapped with polyester fabric tape, whose epoxy resin bonds with the carbon fibres during the curing process. The seatpost of the Fizik Arione R1 Carbon allows for adjustment within a range of 85 mm.
The carbon braided seat posts with a diameter of 9x7 mm are not compatible with all seat posts.
Fizik Composite Carbon Fibre:
very light and comfortable, the Wing Flex carbon saddle shell made from carbon composite weave makes the Fizik Arione R1 exceptionally comfortable and offers a firm yet flexible and comfortable seat. The outer shell is made from multi-directional carbon fibres. The thickness of the padding increases towards the outside, ensuring the saddle provides very responsive and continuous cushioning.

The Microtex saddle cover feels like leather but is significantly more durable.
