The long-distance version of the Aeris TT saddle with a wider nose and an oval carbon frame
The Aeris Triathlon and Time Trial Saddle has been developed to offer maximum stability and support for time trialists and triathletes seeking an optimal platform from which to transfer their power effectively in a forward-leaning, aerodynamic riding position.

A pressure-relief cut-out, which gradually transitions into a recessed nose section, enhances comfort. At the same time, the specially dimensioned nose provides the right level of support and stability, enabling riders to deliver maximum performance in the forward-leaning, aerodynamic position.Based on state-of-the-art bike-fitting analyses and studies into aerodynamics in cycling, we have re-engineered our triathlon and time trial saddles. In a discipline where marginal improvements are of fundamental importance, a saddle that offers comfort in the often extremely aerodynamic positions can represent a decisive step towards greater performance.
The long-distance version of the Aeris features a split-nose construction. The independent nose halves create an unprecedented pressure relief system whilst providing the necessary support and balance required for hours of pressure in the aero position. At the nose, the rail loop provides strength to prevent asymmetrical fatigue, whilst also serving as a hook to securely park the bike in the transition zones during a race.
The saddle’s padding is made from our Type 1 compound – thicker at the nose, where triathletes and time trialists spend most of their time, and thinner at the sit bones to provide a firmer feel when riders need to move out of the aero position.
The Aeris comes with an optional link that allows a bottle cage to be attached to the rear of the saddle. The cage is designed to hold bottles at an angle so that they do not get in the way during the critical ascent and descent phases in the transition zones. In accordance with UCI regulations, the Aeris is equipped with a revolutionary seatpost insert that not only provides a better aero feel but also allows for a wide range of adjustment, enabling you to find the ideal riding position and escape the wind.
Fizik Carbon Braided Frame:
The carbon frame is manufactured from a 3D weave. Its load-bearing capacity is comparable to that of titanium frames and is 50 per cent higher than that of conventional carbon frames. To increase stability, the carbon tubes are ovalised and increased in diameter to 9 mm. In the area of the seatpost clamp, the tubes are additionally hand-wrapped with polyester fabric tape, whose epoxy resin bonds with the carbon fibres during the curing process. The seatpost of the Fizik Arione R1 Carbon allows for adjustment within a range of 85 mm.
The carbon braided seat posts with a diameter of 9x7 mm are not compatible with all seat posts.
Fizik Composite Carbon Fibre:
very light and comfortable, the Wing Flex carbon saddle shell made from carbon composite weave makes the Fizik Arione R1 exceptionally comfortable and offers a firm yet flexible and comfortable seat. The outer shell is made from multi-directional carbon fibres. The thickness of the padding increases towards the outside, ensuring the saddle provides very responsive and continuous cushioning.
Fizik Microtex saddle cover:
The Microtex saddle cover feels like leather but is significantly more durable.
