Fizik Antares Open R3 Saddle

The Open saddle series from Fizik offers maximum relief in the perineal area, thanks to a recess and cut-out in the saddle cover. The Fizik Antares Open R3 saddle in the Large version, 152 mm wide.

With the Antares saddles, Fizik continues its tradition of developing exceptionally comfortable, lightweight saddles with a cut-out in the perineal area and an excellent fit. Despite weighing just 165 grams, the Antares has three times the amount of cushioning foam compared to conventional saddles; in terms of the seat surface, this translates to 15 per cent more comfort. The centre section and side panels are made from Microtex. The Microtex cover feels like leather but is significantly more durable. The Antares saddle is part of the Chameleon series and is designed for a sporty yet comfortable riding position

Fizik Large saddle series:

Fizik uses the term ‘Large’ to describe the wider design of these saddles. These saddles are 152 mm wide and particularly well suited for sporty use.

Fizik Spine Concept Chameleon:

The Antares saddles are part of the Chameleon series of Fizik saddles. This series is designed for riders who adopt a sporty yet comfortable riding position and like to vary their position. The nose of the saddle is more heavily padded and the seating surface is slightly wider and flatter; furthermore, the rear of the saddle rises slightly. This ensures good pressure distribution and support when the saddle is set at a moderately raised position.

Fizik Wing-Flex saddle shell:

Wing Flex technology, a shell that is flexible at the sides, allows the cyclist greater freedom of movement in the thighs whilst on the saddle, thereby increasing pedalling power. The Wing Flex shell flexes downwards in the critical area where the inner thighs come into contact with the saddle, enabling a more efficient and complete range of motion when pedalling. Whether the rider has large or narrow thighs, a wide or narrow pelvis: the saddle adapts to the rider, not the rider to the saddle.

Fizik K:ium frame:

K:ium is a special alloy of silicon and chromium. Through a special finishing process, these two elements provide a high degree of corrosion resistance and long-lasting performance. The round, 7 mm K:ium frames are 8 per cent lighter and more stable than conventional titanium frames and are compatible with all standard 2-strut seatposts

Road, Cross Country Race; not suitable for seatposts with side clamps, except when used with 7x9mm adapters, such as the Ritchty Single Bolt seatposts.
