The Fizik Terra Aidon X5 MTB and e-bike saddle with a round S-Alloy saddle frame. This short saddle offers excellent off-road support with a wide, soft nose and progressive padding, providing great freedom of movement and outstanding comfort thanks to WinFlex geometry

Fizik Aidon saddle shape:

Designed for MTB and e-bike use, the short saddle shape offers perfect grip on the terrain. The semi-circular saddle shell is particularly flexible at the sides. Suitable for a sporty riding position with a moderate rise in the seat height. The composite fibreglass co-injected nylon shell is produced using a special injection process in which a 0.7 mm thick thermoformed carbon layer is overmoulded with a nylon layer reinforced with carbon fibres. Thanks to Fizik’s special Type 2 padding, which is slightly thicker in the area of the ischial tuberosities, the Argo saddle offers excellent pressure distribution and cushioning.

Fizik Wing-Flex saddle shell:

Wing Flex technology, a shell that is flexible at the sides, allows the cyclist greater freedom of movement in the thighs whilst seated, thereby increasing pedalling power. The Wing Flex shell flexes downwards in the critical area where the inner thighs come into contact with the saddle, enabling a more efficient and complete range of motion when pedalling. Whether the rider has large or narrow thighs, a wide or narrow pelvis: the saddle adapts to the rider, not the rider to the saddle.

Fizik Terra Aidon:

The shorter shape places the rider in a better-suited position, providing greater stability, confidence and control when riding heavier pedal-assisted bikes. A progressive transition from the nose to the side wings allows for smooth position changes when manoeuvring the bike. The curved kick-tail supports the lower back and helps the rider maintain their position whilst tackling technical climbs, giving them greater control whilst using electric assistance. Once you’ve conquered the climbs and are riding downhill with the seatpost lowered, the saddle becomes a tool for control. The rounded contours of the Terra Aidon allow for smooth and rapid movement of your legs around the saddle, helping you stay on course. As more time is spent in a seated position on an e-MTB than in traditional cycling, the Terra Aidon features a special ergonomic cut-out that relieves pressure on sensitive areas. To enhance comfort, the e-bike and MTB saddle is additionally padded with a patented Type 2 foam, which is thicker in the area of the sit bones and at the sides to support a more upright riding position, ensuring better manoeuvrability and comfort when pedalling at a high cadence. For pedal-assisted all-mountain use, the Terra Aidon has been designed with a flexible shell to offer a higher degree of flexibility. This controlled elasticity absorbs vibrations for increased comfort.
