Prologo Akero R Saddle

The Akero is a highly ergonomic saddle, designed to be short and wide for outstanding comfort across multiple disciplines. The round R2 saddle frame is made from recycled steel.

The short and wide nose eliminates contact and pressure points in the perineal area, whilst the enlarged contact surface with the innovative V-shape design offers excellent pressure distribution, making the Akero a versatile saddle suitable for both short and medium distances.A key feature of the saddle is the ACTIVE BASE SYSTEM, an innovative system applied to a ‘closed’ saddle that offers the advantage of a base with a central hole … this provides several benefits in terms of pressure distribution, blood circulation and protection against water and mud in all weather conditions.

Prologo carbon-fibre reinforced plastic saddle shell:

The saddle shell is manufactured using a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic injection moulding process developed by Prologo. This results in a saddle shell that is 15 per cent lighter, increases stability and creates an attractive and durable surface.

Prologo saddle frame:

The saddle frame, made from recycled chromium-molybdenum steel, is manufactured to a hardness of HRC 39 and a thickness of +/-2 mm. This offers optimal mechanical properties and a good balance between weight and durability.

Prologo Active Line

Prologo’s new Active Line is aimed at all cyclists who are less race-oriented and focus more on fun and wellness. An audience looking for a comfortable and versatile saddle that can be used on various terrains, from urban commuting to road cycling, from gravel to less extreme off-road riding. The saddle is equipped with the Active Base System, a padded cover without a hole that allows pressure to be distributed over a larger area, and which is placed on a base that still features the central hole. Another common feature of the saddles in the new Active range is their environmental friendliness. The PP plastic frame and the new steel rail are made from partially recycled materials.
