Saddle Prologo Scratch M5 CPC MSS Tirox
The saddle that won the Tour de France in 2020 and 2021, whether climbing, sprinting or tackling long stages – no matter the challenge.
The Scratch M5 was Pogačar’s perfect ally in becoming the best climber and the best young rider. Thanks to the new T-SHAPE design, size and ergonomics, the Scratch M5 is a unisex saddle suitable for both men and women.
The saddle’s rounded shape allows for natural pelvic rotation and provides stability and support for the lumbar spine. The saddle cover features CPC technology, which prevents slipping, whilst MSS technology distributes pressure across the wider seating area.
Prolog CPC Technology:
Connect Power Control technology, or CPC for short, is a patented surface system positioned at strategic points on the saddle. Thanks to small rubber nubs, it offers maximum absorption of vibrations and oscillations, allowing you to sit in the optimal position in all weather conditions. The CPC consists of a three-dimensional nanopolymer, which was developed and tested for professional road and off-road teams. Compared to standard surfaces, air cooling has been increased by an average of 10 per cent and shock absorption by 15 per cent.
Prologo MSS Technology:
The Multi-Sector Seat System technology was developed in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano and contributes to improved comfort and performance. The active and separate foams form five zones that work in an intelligent and individualised manner, facilitating the normal pedalling motion in both the compression and extension phases.
Prologo Carbon-Fibre Saddle Shell:
The saddle shell is manufactured using a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic injection moulding process developed by Prologo. This results in a saddle shell that is 15 per cent lighter, increases stability and creates an attractive and durable surface.
Prologo Tirox steel saddle frame:
The Tirox steel saddle frame is hardened using a special process, also employed in the aerospace industry, involving a light metal alloy. This offers optimum tensile and torsional strength, thereby providing an excellent balance between weight and robustness.
