Cane Creek Tigon Coil/Air Shock

The high-end enduro and trail shock with an air/spring hybrid system. The enduro shock for maximum performance with adjustable end-stroke progression. The Cane Creek shock features a unique design in which the oil flows through externally adjustable valves. This allows the shock to be precisely tuned to personal preferences.

Handcrafted in Fletcher, USA, the Cane Creek shock absorber is manufactured to extremely high precision and is designed for maximum performance and reliability.

Trunnion shock absorber mounting:

1 bushing set is required for installation, at the bottom only. The shock head is mounted directly. These are available separately and are not included

Cane Creek Tigon Coil-Air shock:

The ultra-responsive steel-sprung coil shock with an additional air chamber, designed for enduro and trail use. The steel spring is not included. If you are unsure which spring rate you require, please consult your frame/bike manufacturer. The spring rate depends on both rider weight and rear suspension design.

The Tigon combines the traction of a steel-sprung shock with the mid-travel and bottom-out support of an air-sprung shock. Cane Creek’s development team has created the world’s first DB Twin Tube shock, which breaks the mould of traditional shock categories. The Tigon’s air-charged RAMP Tube allows the rider to make quick and easy adjustments to increase responsiveness, improve support or, conversely, enhance the lightness of the ride.

Cane Creek Ramp Tube Technology:

the air spring for adjusting the shock’s progression allows for up to 35 per cent more adjustment compared to conventional coil shocks

Cane Creek 2-Position Climp Switch:

the new Climp Switch technology now offers three positions: Descend, CS and, most recently, Firm. In Descend mode, the shock is open; CS provides grip and pedalling efficiency; and Firm completely closes the shock’s bleed port. The low-speed compression and rebound can also be adjusted separately. This ensures fully usable travel on the flat and uphill and reliably suppresses suspension bob.

Cane Creek Twin Tube Technology:

Twin Tube technology ensures that, unlike in conventional dampers where oil flows solely through the main piston, it flows through the valves responsible for the respective damping. This results in superior, reproducible adjustability.

Cane Creek HSC

The High-Speed Compression (HSC) setting is designed to absorb the energy from heavy impacts, such as large ledges or hard landings.

Cane Creek HSR

A unique adjustment parameter on the Kitsuma is the High-Speed Rebound, which regulates the rebound speed when the suspension is fully compressed and enables controlled take-offs from jump edges.

Cane Creek LSC

The Low-Speed Compression (LSC) setting controls traction and suspension stability. The LSC setting suppresses unwanted bobbing whilst pedalling, influences the suspension’s response to bumps and small dips, and affects how the bike reacts to changes in weight.

Cane Creek LSR

Like the Low-Speed Compression, the Low-Speed Rebound contributes to traction and suspension stability. The Low-Speed Rebound ensures maximum traction on technical climbs, bumpy trails, banked turns and braking bumps.

Norglide friction bush:

The Norglide bushings sit between the shock mount and the mounting bushings and have an internal diameter of 14.7 mm. The shock bushings are then inserted into the Norglide bushings. The Norglide bushings ensure minimal friction and are easy to replace

Trunnion shock mount:

On frames with this shock mount, the shock head is bolted directly to the frame; only the shaft has the classic eye for mounting the shock bushing. This mount allows for a more compact design. The frame must be designed for this. These shocks are not compatible with standard frames.
