Cane Creek Helm MK2 Air suspension fork

The high-end trail and enduro suspension fork from Cane Creek with SKS seals and a new air spring. Equipped with a wide range of adjustment options and Double Air suspension with independent positive and negative air chambers, as well as a mechanically adjustable negative spring. The internal travel adjustment allows for perfect adaptation to a wide variety of requirements.

Cane Creek AIR Spring Technology

The air suspension system of the Helm MK2 suspension fork offers excellent responsiveness and traction. Thanks to the tool-free adjustability of many settings, the Helm fork can be perfectly tuned to any application. The large-volume Double Air air chambers provide outstanding flexibility, superior performance on medium impacts and incredible grip. Cane Creek’s engineers have isolated both the positive and negative air chambers, giving the rider the ability to control their air pressure independently whilst still feeling the full feedback from the fork. New oil valves, working in conjunction with the new oil, ensure even better responsiveness.

Cane Creek Travel Spacer:

By inserting or removing the travel spacers, the travel of the Helm MK2 Air forks can be adjusted from 100 to 160 mm. All 27.5+/29-inch forks are designed for a maximum travel of 160 mm. On models with less travel, travel spacers are pre-fitted.

Offset:

These 27.5+/29 Boost suspension forks have a 51 mm fork offset. This fork offset provides balanced handling with good straight-line stability on 29-inch bikes and good straight-line stability on 27.5-inch bikes. The offset refers to the lead generated by the fork. The larger this value, the further the front wheel extends from the direct extension of the head tube/fork steerer. This results in a longer wheelbase and better straight-line stability. Bike manufacturers generally design their frames for a fixed offset value. If in doubt, please check with the frame manufacturer to find out which offset is correct for your frame.

27.5+/29-inch Boost:

The Boost standard, with a hub spacing of 110x15 mm, allows for the fitting of tyres up to a maximum width of 2.6 inches. The increased distance between the fork legs requires the new Boost spacing of 15x110 mm. The wider hubs result in a flatter spoke angle, thereby increasing the lateral stiffness of the wheels, which leads to more stable and durable wheels. For tyres wider than 2.5 inches, please observe the minimum clearance between the tyre and the fork crown; 6–8 mm is required, otherwise the fork may lock up suddenly. Tyres from different manufacturers and fitted to rims of different widths will also have different profile heights. The maximum tyre width must not exceed 75 mm; the maximum diameter of the wheel with tyre must not exceed 749 mm.
