The latest evolution of the popular 36 brings the power of a large fork to all-mountain riding. Thanks to increased steering stiffness and smoother suspension travel, the 36 delivers an enduro feel without adding weight. Available with GRIP X shock options for trail riding and GRIP X2 for gravity riding.
Fox Grip X2 shock cartridge
The most adjustable, supportive and smooth-running shock FOX has ever developed. It allows for a higher seat position within the travel, ensures the tyres grip the ground firmly and offers more traction in corners – all whilst reducing rider fatigue. Find out more about the new GRIP family below. The Grip X2 cartridge utilises a unique bladder design with the lowest possible friction for a sealed cartridge. The 2012 Fit damping allows for more usable travel and is even easier to adjust. This prevents the damping oil from mixing with air, enabling improved damping consistency and reducing unsprung mass in the system for faster response and greater steering precision.
Fox Float Glidecore air spring:
The seamlessly integrated FLOAT Glidecore air spring reduces friction by moving with the fork under dynamic load. Large-diameter O-rings dampen and control this movement whilst simultaneously reducing the start-up friction of the air spring. The result? Smoother suspension behaviour.
Fox ARCH TO RIVAL gas bridge:
The new arch design, generatively designed and optimised by FOX engineers, encases the lower fork legs and increases the fork’s torsional stiffness by a full 20% compared to the previous 36 model. Cut-outs in strategic locations contribute to weight reduction.
Fox Kashima steerer tube coating:
The gold high-end Kashima coating from Japanese specialists MI YAKI reduces friction and significantly increases durability. Fox suspension forks owe their butter-smooth response to this coating.
