Continental TPU Tube 28" SV

A seven-layer, lightweight and space-saving TPU inner tube for performance-oriented road, gravel and MTB riders. It is particularly lightweight yet durable and is suitable for both road and off-road use. Micrometre-thick, top-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is processed in seven layers, thereby achieving the best possible airtightness and durability. The tubes are left uncoloured to ensure the highest material quality and to prevent unwanted air loss, which can be caused by surface defects resulting from the colouring process. Every ContiTPU inner tube undergoes a manual quality control check after production. The base of the valve stem is slightly tapered to improve the fit on the rim and reduce unwanted movement whilst riding. In addition, the valve stem features an internal thread, which allows the use of valve extensions or a replacement valve core.

Conti TPU inner tubes must not be used with rim brakes. Excessive heat build-up can lead to sudden loss of pressure. A suitable rim tape must be used to protect the TPU inner tube. Failure to do so may result in damage to the inner tube. When not fitted, TPU inner tubes must be inflated to a maximum of 0.3 bar. Higher pressure can lead to permanent deformation and render the inner tube unusable.
