Schwalbe Aerothan Plus Allround Tube – Specifications:
- Bicycle inner tube for tyre sizes 28 inches, ERTRO 37-50 x 622, 700C
- Valve length 40 mm
- Valve: Auto
- Weight: 86 grams (manufacturer’s specification)

Compared to standard Schwalbe inner tubes, it makes the bike around 140 grams lighter – combined with low rolling resistance, this guarantees much more riding enjoyment. You can rely on its puncture protection even on longer rides in the countryside. Even if you forget to top it up, the Aerothan Tube Allround won’t hold it against you: it retains its shape even at low pressure and keeps the bike safely on track.
Aerothan material
Aerothan Tubes are made from 100 per cent thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), including the valve, and are therefore fully recyclable. Like all Schwalbe tubes, Aerothan Tubes can be returned to Schwalbe free of charge and easily via the tube recycling programme. The material from the used tubes is processed and subsequently reused as sealing or insulation material. In the heat resistance test, a starting temperature of 30 degrees is selected and tested at 78 km/h with 30 per cent braking force. In addition, the number of emergency braking manoeuvres the tube can withstand is determined. In the dynamic test, the Aerothan Tube emerges as the winner and is the only tube to withstand 7 emergency braking manoeuvres in a row. All Aerothan Tubes are approved for use with rim brakes. Aerothan Tubes do not burst suddenly. In the worst-case scenario, air loss occurs slowly and the bike generally remains controllable.
