All-road/gravel TPU bicycle inner tube, Schwalbe Aerothan SCV17AE, 28 x 1.3–1.75 inches, ETRTO 33–47 x 622, Schwalbe Clik Valve 80 mm
Schwalbe Aerothan TPU Tube SCV 17AE / 28 inches
The new Aerothan tubes are more flexible and fit tyre widths of 33–47 x 622.
Schwalbe’s new Clik Valve system offers significantly higher air flow, no air loss when deflating and a secure connection to the pump. Clik Valve valves can be used with standard air pumps.

Schwalbe’s revolutionary Aerothan inner tube achieves previously unattainable top marks for elasticity, weight and puncture resistance. Specifically designed for road bikes, MTBs and trekking bikes. Aerothan is a material that completely redefines the bicycle inner tube: extremely light, highly puncture-resistant and designed for minimal rolling resistance. Low rolling resistance at tubeless levels, 40 per cent lighter than Schwalbe Extralight inner tubes, all combined with increased puncture protection, heat resistance and approved for use with rim brakes.
Aerothan material
Aerothan Tubes are made from 100 per cent thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and are therefore fully recyclable. Like all Schwalbe inner tubes, Aerothan Tubes can be returned to Schwalbe free of charge and easily via the inner tube recycling programme. The material from the used inner tubes is processed and subsequently reused as sealing or insulation material. In the heat resistance test, a starting temperature of 30 degrees is selected and the test is conducted at 78 km/h with 30 per cent braking force. Additionally, the number of emergency braking manoeuvres the tube can withstand is determined. In the dynamic test, the Aerothan Tube emerges as the winner and is the only tube to withstand 7 emergency braking manoeuvres in a row. All Aerothan Tubes are approved for use with rim brakes. Aerothan Tubes do not burst suddenly. In the worst-case scenario, air loss occurs slowly and the bike generally remains controllable.
