Maxxis Minion DHF tyre
Proven concepts such as bevelled knobs for low rolling resistance and longitudinally slotted knobs for better steering control and directional stability have been recombined to develop a very fast front tyre. Widely spaced intermediate knobs are resistant to mud, and the C-shaped side knobs ensure good, predictable cornering behaviour on any surface.
SuperTacky
The SuperTacky tread is the benchmark for grip and performance in freeride and downhill tyres – in short, the basis for the world’s most successful DH tyres. It consists of a base compound and the SuperTacky compound, which offers exceptional grip in all ground conditions.
Two-layer DW carcass
Two layers of fabric are combined and wrapped around the bead cores. The finished carcass then has four layers on the sidewalls and as many as six layers under the tread. This is how Maxxis downhill tyres are manufactured.
