Schwalbe Gravity casing:

Schwalbe’s tyre construction, developed for enduro competitions, but also ideally suited for freeride and even downhill racing. The tread and the heavily stressed sidewalls are protected in this extremely stable construction by four casing plies in combination with a stable fabric layer (bead-to-bead). A special Apex protects against punctures and increases the tyre’s lateral stiffness. Thanks to the Turn-Up construction, the tyre remains unusually flexible for a particularly smooth ride. Tubeless easy.

Schwalbe Addix Soft:

The Addix Soft compound rolls superbly and impresses with its excellent damping. Schwalbe has dug deep into its tyre-making bag of tricks to optimally balance both aspects. The result is a compound that’s incredibly fun to ride. And it’s significantly more durable than the previous TrailStar compound. It fully plays to its strengths of plenty of damping and rich grip, and thanks to its optimised cold-weather performance, it delivers all year round. The Addix Soft rubber compound is at home in the world of enduro and downhill, as well as in demanding all-mountain and trail riding. It also shines in combinations: more speed – Soft at the front, Speedgrip at the rear. Or more damping – Ultra Soft at the front, Soft at the rear.

Schwalbe Radial Casing:

Schwalbe is turning the MTB world upside down with its radial tyres. S Whereas the carcass threads in conventional bicycle tyres run diagonally across the tyre at a 45° angle, in radial tyres they are arranged at a significantly shallower angle. This technology opens up a whole new dimension in the functionality of bicycle tyres.

The casing material overlaps for a shorter distance and with less tension. As a result, the tyre deforms more punctually and can react much more flexibly and adaptively to uneven terrain without compromising on safety.

The increased contact patch and more flexible response provide significantly more grip, more damping, more safety and more comfort – so you get more out of the trail! The tyre absorbs impacts better and utilises the suspension travel more effectively – it literally clings to the ground. This applies to both mountain bikes and e-MTBs, which deliver significantly more traction on the ground with radial tyres.

The tyres were developed in the Downhill World Cup. Amaury Pierron has made a spectacular comeback this year following his return. With the radial tyres, he won in Val di Sole with a lead of almost 5 seconds and in Let Gets with well over 6 seconds – an eternity in racing!

Due to the larger contact patch with the ground, Schwalbe radial tyres always have more rubber in contact with the surface. As a result, rolling resistance increases slightly. However, this can be almost entirely offset by clever tread designs, as has already been demonstrated on the ALBERT, for example.

Schwalbe TLR Tubeless Ready:

Even better cut resistance, increased puncture resistance and, above all, it enables an extremely easy tubeless conversion. The use of sealant is required, but otherwise fitting is just as easy as with genuine tubeless tyres. There are no more lengthy conversion processes involving vigorous shaking and frequent re-inflation.
