Schwalbe Gravity casing:

Schwalbe’s tyre construction, developed for enduro competitions, but also ideally suited for freeride and even downhill racing. In this extremely stable construction, the tread and the heavily stressed sidewalls are protected by four casing plies in combination with a stable fabric layer (bead-to-bead). A special Apex protects against punctures and increases the tyre’s lateral stiffness. Thanks to the Turn-Up construction, the tyre remains unusually flexible, ensuring a particularly smooth ride. Schwalbe Addix Ultra Soft:

Addix Ultra Soft is the Addix compound for hardcore use in enduro and downhill. It has sensationally good damping properties and performs flawlessly even in cold conditions. The new Ultra Soft seems to suck onto the ground and literally claws into the terrain. Everything is geared towards one goal: maximum damping and incredible grip.

Schwalbe Radial Casing:

With its radial tyres, Schwalbe is turning the MTB world on its head. S Whereas the carcass threads in conventional bicycle tyres run diagonally across the tyre at a 45° angle, in radial tyres they are arranged at a significantly shallower angle. This technology opens up a whole new dimension in the functionality of bicycle tyres.

The carcass material overlaps for a shorter distance and with less tension. As a result, the tyre deforms more punctually and can react much more flexibly and adaptively to uneven terrain without compromising on safety.

The increased contact patch and more flexible response provide significantly more grip, more damping, more safety and more comfort – so you get more out of the trail! The tyre absorbs impacts better and utilises the suspension travel more effectively – it literally clings to the ground. This applies to both mountain bikes and e-MTBs, which deliver significantly more traction on the ground with radial tyres.

The tyres were developed in the Downhill World Cup. Amaury Pierron has made a spectacular comeback this year following his return. With the radial tyres, he won in Val di Sole with a lead of almost 5 seconds and in Let Gets with well over 6 seconds – an eternity in racing!

Due to the larger contact patch with the ground, Schwalbe radial tyres always have more rubber in contact with the surface. As a result, rolling resistance increases slightly. However, this can be almost entirely offset by clever tread designs, as has already been demonstrated on the ALBERT, for example.

Schwalbe TLR Tubeless Ready:

Even better cut resistance, increased puncture resistance and, above all, it enables an extremely easy tubeless conversion. The use of sealant is required, but otherwise fitting is just as easy as with genuine tubeless tyres. There are no more lengthy conversion processes involving vigorous shaking and frequent re-inflation.
