Race Series vulcanised clincher with nylon casing

• Vulcanised tyres made from natural rubber offer excellent value for money and high durability, albeit at the expense of comfort and performance.
• Nylon is a carcass weave available in three main thread counts – 33, 60 and 120 TPI – and is wound around a steel or aramid bead. The nylon mesh is dipped into a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered between large steel rollers to produce the finished carcass. In bicycle tyres, nylon offers excellent value for money thanks to its low price and comparatively simple processing.

Vulcanised synthetic rubber

• To combine a long service life with good riding characteristics, synthetic rubber is vulcanised and hardened. The result is Challenge’s Vulcanized Clincher range: smooth-rolling tyres with high grip and good comfort at an affordable price.
