Tubeless Ready, TLR, with Nylon Superlight casing

Nylon is a carcass braid available in three main thread counts – 33, 60 and 120 TPI (threads per inch) – and is wound around a steel or aramid bead. The nylon mesh is dipped in a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered between large steel rollers, compressed to produce the finished carcass. In bicycle tyres, nylon offers excellent value for money due to its low price and comparatively simple processing.

Vulcanised synthetic rubber:

To combine a long service life with good riding characteristics, synthetic rubber is vulcanised and hardened. The result is Challenge’s Vulcanised Clincher range: smooth-rolling tyres with high grip and good comfort at an affordable price.
