Pirelli SmartNET Silica is patented cutting-edge technology. In short: a unique rubber compound, low rolling resistance and optimum grip and wet traction whatever the weather conditions. The silica particles are microscopic, rod-shaped particles that are arranged systematically rather than chaotically. – this ensures extremely low rolling resistance, whilst increasing elasticity and minimising energy loss. The particles are also arranged to mimic natural structures, ensuring maximum grip and wet grip on any surface. All of this combined offers an unrivalled riding experience.

Pirelli ArmourTECH carcass:

The ArmourTECH carcass has been developed from Pirelli’s motorsport experience. It consists of 60 TPI aramid-Kevlar reinforcements, patented specifically and exclusively for Pirelli. A unique blend of Kevlar fibres forms a chemical barrier against punctures, combined with a fabric layer that extends across the entire circumference of the tyre, enhancing its ability to resist punctures from any angle, as well as an additional layer of puncture-resistant fabric beneath the tread.
