DT Swiss Aero RR 421 DB asymmetrical rim

The DT Swiss RR 421 DB gravel, cross and touring rim for use with disc brakes is very light at just 420 grams and sturdy thanks to its high-strength aluminium alloy and 24 mm rim width. With a 20 mm rim width, the DT Swiss RR 421 DB rim is ideal for tyre sizes ranging from 28 to 40 mm. The rim’s asymmetrical design allows for more even spoke tension, significantly increasing stability and service life. Cleanly finished, with a welded joint, CNC-machined sidewalls and a 21 mm high rim bed, the DT Swiss RR 421 DB is the ideal rim for building very lightweight wheelsets.

The DT Swiss RR 421 DB rims are high-end rims with a special spoke nipple mount and are supplied with special DT Squorx Pro Head nipples and PHR washers; they must only be laced using these nipples. Furthermore, the DT RR 412 rims are tubeless-ready.

DT Swiss Squorx Pro Head spoke nipples / PHR washers:

The DT Squorx Pro Head nipple combines ease of installation, light weight and optimal performance in a single product. The Torx head makes lacing flat spokes a breeze. The spherical contact surface ensures perfect alignment with the spoke, whilst the square section allows for easy re-centring using standard tools whilst the tyre is fitted. With these rims, the nipples and washers are included in the scope of delivery. The washer is mounted between the nipple and the rim bed. This ensures even pressure distribution and long-lasting durability

DT Swiss tubeless-ready rim:

The profiles of DT Swiss tubeless-ready rims are specially designed for tubeless use. They guarantee a perfect fit and make tyre installation as easy as possible. Nevertheless, it is always possible to use a conventional combination of tyre and inner tube. DT Swiss tubeless-ready rims offer further advantages over conventional rims. Thanks to the design of their cross-section, the tyre simply pops into place when inflated, meaning that in most cases only a standard floor pump is required. The sophisticated profile of DT Swiss rims also ensures a precise and secure fit for the tyre, even under tough riding conditions.
