With the new GRC 1100 DICUT, you’ll be perfectly equipped, whether you’re chasing victory on gravel roads with the 50 mm rim or testing your limits on an extreme off-road adventure with the 30 mm rim. Our new gravel wheels are manufactured using a state-of-the-art production process. The result? Lightweight carbon rims straight from the mould, requiring no further machining or painting. Not only are they a real eye-catcher, but they also save valuable grams alongside their special aero optimisation. Both new rims are fitted with our best components: the lightweight 180 DICUT hub with ceramic bearings and DT Aerolite II spokes, which ensure good acceleration and low rolling resistance. It’s not up to us whether you win races, but we’ve made sure your wheelset spins reliably and turns heads.

To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest-quality straight-pull spokes are used in our wheelsets. They are more stable than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools.

DT Swiss GRC 1100 Dicut Disc Clincher Rims

A new concept in the manufacture of carbon rims eliminates the need for an additional coating and ensures a fantastic surface design. The rims, with a 24 mm rim width, are built for tough cyclocross and gravel use and also offer good aerodynamics. The GRC 1100 rims are made from high-modulus carbon fibre using a new resin. The profile, developed by Swiss Side and inspired by aircraft construction, offers optimum aerodynamics. DT Swiss 180 Dicut Disc hubs

The DT Swiss hubs, with their optimised hub shell and wider hub flanges, offer greater lateral stiffness. Designed for straight-pull spokes and the proven Ratchet EXP freehub system, based on the DT Swiss high-end 180 hubs with Swiss industrial ceramic bearings, they are extremely durable and can be serviced and converted to Shimano, Sram, Campagnolo and Sram XD freehub bodies without tools.

Hooked / Crochet tubeless TC rims:

Hooked or Crochet refers to the shape of the rim flange, which features a so-called hook. This aids in securing the tyre bead and ensures reliable performance, even when using high tyre pressures > 5 bar. Tubeless means that the rim can be ridden without an inner tube, although a setup with an inner tube is also possible.

DT Swiss new Carbonform rim technology

In conventional manufacturing processes, the various individual components of a carbon rim are produced separately, which can lead to irregularities when they are assembled. Thanks to our new method, we are able to produce a particularly durable rim in which the fibres of the outer layers are not cut, ensuring continuous fibres in the areas subject to the highest stress. This results in a more consistent structure with fewer irregularities.

The patent-pending outer carbon layer ensures an unrivalled high-quality finish to the rim surface, meaning the rim is ready for use immediately upon removal from the mould. The result is a structurally optimised composition free from air pockets and resin build-up, which not only improves the rim’s reliability but also ensures an elegant design.

Thanks to a patented process, a unique surface is achieved, eliminating the need for final coatings and resulting in weight savings.

To ensure that our rims are 100 per cent ready for immediate use, each rim is inspected through all layers using a technology for which a patent application has been filed. Thanks to this completely new method, all rims that are not 100 per cent flawless are rejected, and only rims without any material defects are approved.

DT Swiss Carbon Shield Technology:

Wheelsets subjected to particularly high stresses are protected by carbon layers surrounding the entire rim; this reinforces the rim flange in particular through long, uninterrupted fibre strands.

The resulting protection against impacts and higher stresses prevents structural weakening between the carbon layers, ensuring carefree riding pleasure even on challenging routes.

The number of carbon layers added increases in line with the expected load in the various areas of use.
