Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:
We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to expertise gained from over 30 years of experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in roundness, durability and stiffness from the material. These wheels are, of course, tested multiple times; we also pre-load the spokes in both the radial and tangential directions. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time. We use DT Swiss spokes exclusively. These ensure outstanding durability of the wheels. For enduro use, we recommend brass nipples.
These wheelsets are made to order specifically for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of withdrawal for them.

SON 29 S Straightpull hub dynamo:
The new SON 29 S: slim, light, efficient. The straight-pull dynamo delivers 6V/3W even at low speeds thanks to its optimised design and meets StVZO requirements even for 29-inch wheels. Ideal for high-performance charging electronics. The brake disc side is cross-spoked and the connection side is radially spoked. The 24-hole version has 16 left and 8 right spokes, the 32-hole version has 16 left and 8 right spokes. The SON 29 S comes as standard with a coaxial socket for the SON coaxial plug
DT Swiss RR 481 DB rim:
The gravel, cross-road and road rim, DT Swiss RR 481 DB, designed for use with disc brakes, made from 485 grams of high-strength aluminium, very stable and, with a 22 mm rim width, perfect for wide tyres. With a 22 mm rim width, the DT Swiss RR 481 DB rim is ideal for tyre sizes from 25–40 mm. Cleanly finished, with a welded joint, CNC-machined sidewalls and a 25 mm high rim bed, the DT Swiss RR 481 DB offers the optimal rim for building lightweight and stable wheelsets.
DT Swiss Competition Spokes
The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheelsets. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheelsets. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building of the highest standard. Thanks to the tapered middle section, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or durability.
DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes:
Designed for stable, laterally stiff yet aerodynamic wheels, the DT Swiss Aero Comp spoke in the straight-pull version is first tapered in the middle section using a cold-forging process, making it lighter and stronger. In a further complex process, it is flat-forged to optimise aerodynamic properties whilst simultaneously increasing material strength. The DT Aero Comp guarantees a balanced combination of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability.
DT Swiss Aero Lite spokes:
The DT Swiss Aerolite spoke is flatter and lighter than any other; the DT Swiss Aerolite spoke features an aerodynamic flat profile and is extremely lightweight. Thanks to the 0.9 x 2.3 mm aerodynamic mid-section, this spoke can be fitted to all standard hubs. The Cold Forging Technology (CFT) developed by DT Swiss makes the reduced and forged DT Aerolite the lightest stainless steel spoke and gives it excellent mechanical properties. Particularly suitable for super-light and fast road or cross-country wheelsets. 64 DT Aerolite spokes weigh an incredible 278 g at a length of 264 mm. Weight per spoke at a length of 264 mm: 4.31 grams.
DT Swiss Revolite spokes:
The DT Revolite is the ideal choice for riders looking for a spoke that combines durability, low weight and aerodynamics. With a 2.3x1.3 mm cross-section in the middle section of the spokes, these offer excellent aerodynamics. Through several rounds of development, their innovative shape has been optimised to outperform all other DT Swiss MTB spokes in their weight class in terms of durability. This has been achieved through the unique blading process, which achieves additional compaction of the material, and a patent-pending process that ensures a uniform transition from the tapered to the forged section of the spoke. Weighing just approx. 4.5 grams at a length of 264 mm per spoke, the Revolite is also exceptionally light.
DT Swiss Squorx Pro Head Nipple PHR Washer:
The DT Squorx Pro Head nipple combines ease of installation, light weight and optimal performance in a single product. The Torx head makes lacing flat spokes a breeze. The spherical contact surface ensures perfect alignment with the spoke, whilst the square section allows for easy re-centring using standard tools with the tyre fitted. With these rims, the Squorx nipples are included in the scope of delivery, along with the PHR washer, which is fitted between the nipple and the rim bed. This ensures even pressure distribution and long-lasting durability.
