DT Swiss ECX 1501 Spline One 30 with a 35 mm rim width and weighing just 1609 grams, this wheelset is lightweight yet sturdy enough for freeride and enduro use. Thanks to the high-end 240 DEG hubs with stainless steel ball bearings and the lightweight 30 mm wide carbon rims, the EXC 1501 Spline One wheels offer excellent acceleration. The legendary reliability of the Ratchet System hub and the straight-pull spokes combine to create the perfect competition wheel.

DT Swiss 240 DEG hub:

The patent-pending Ratchet DEG system is based on a different approach to conventional freewheel systems. It operates with a smaller engagement angle, thereby offering the greatest possible reliability. The innovative design of the Ratchet DEG hub allows the bearing to be replaced without special tools. The threaded ring does not need to be removed. The steel DEG pawls are larger than on all previous DT Swiss models. They are designed to make it easier even for the strongest riders to transfer power over the long term and across a large contact area. The simultaneous engagement of the sprockets results in a larger contact area than with ratchet hubs – and thus a more even distribution of the load. The two enlarged sprockets have 90 teeth. With just 4, they therefore offer the smallest engagement angle of any hub in the DT Swiss range. On the trail, this leads to reduced backlash. The Ratchet DEG freehub body has a larger diameter at the ratchet interface. This means it fits perfectly with the size-optimised DEG ring. Furthermore, it is therefore only compatible with hubs equipped with the Ratchet DEG system. The seal is located on the freehub.

DT Swiss Spline One Boost 15x110 front hub:

The DT Swiss Boost front hubs have a wider hub body with spoke lugs and flange positioned further outwards. This makes these wheels even more laterally stiff and durable. Due to the wider hub design with 110x15 mm thru-axle mount, they cannot be converted and are only compatible with Boost 15x110 mm forks.

DT Swiss Spline One Boost 12x148 rear hub:

The DT Swiss Boost rear hubs feature a wider hub body with spoke lugs and flanges positioned further outwards. This makes these wheels even more laterally stiff and durable. Due to the wider hub design with a 148x12 mm thru-axle mount, these hubs cannot be fitted to frames with an X12x142 mm mounting dimension and are only compatible with Boost 12x148 mm and Boost 10x141 mm rear-end frames

DT Swiss EXC 1501 Spline One 30 rims:

Carbon allows for the production of a 30 mm wide rim that provides ideal support for modern tyres, enables lower tyre pressure and thus reduces rolling resistance on rough surfaces. Thanks to the low moment of inertia of a carbon rim, the DT Spline One wheelsets offer rapid acceleration and precise handling. With an internal rim width of 30 mm, they are ideally suited for use from all-mountain to downhill riding with high-volume tyres. The rims of the EXC 1501 wheelsets are extra-reinforced and extremely stable. With an outer rim width of 35 mm, tyres ranging from 2.1 to 3.0 inches in width can be fitted. Thanks to new rim beads, the DT Swiss Spline One rims are ideally designed for upgrading with a tubeless kit. DT Swiss has also developed new tubeless kits specifically for this purpose. These are included in the scope of delivery

DT Swiss EX 1501 Straight Pull Spokes:

To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest-quality straight-pull spokes are used in Spline One wheelsets. They are stiffer than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools. The straight-pull lacing allows for precise placement and alignment of the spokes. This optimises wheel stiffness and eliminates any unwanted stress peaks.
