DT Swiss FR 1500 Classic wheelset

These FR 1500 Classic wheels feature a new rim profile that makes them lighter whilst improving their impact resistance and puncture resistance.

The DT Swiss FR 1500 Classic wheel comes straight from World Cup competition. Thanks to a new 35 mm wide rim, a 240 EXP high-flange thru-axle hub and a rock-solid build with DT Competition spokes, it accelerates at full throttle from the start gate and remains in complete control right up to the finish jump. When riding into a steep-wall corner at 60 km/h, you have to trust the material. The 30 mm rim width offers downhill tyres unprecedented lateral support for even higher cornering speeds. The rim design, the lightweight 240 EXP hubs and the DT Competition spokes have proven their durability on the toughest downhill tracks in the world.

DT Swiss FR 1500 Classic rims:

The impact resistance has been significantly increased thanks to changes to the rim profile and the addition of extra material. The new rim flange shape reduces rolling resistance by up to 17 per cent. Designed for enduro to DH use, the 35 mm wide DT Swiss FR 1500 rims offer sufficient reserves for a stable DH wheel. With an internal rim width of 30 mm, tyres ranging from 2.1 to 3.0 inches in width can be fitted.

DT Swiss FR 1500 Classic Hubs:

The DT FR 1500 wheelsets feature DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs with a high-flange design. The patented freehub body uses interlocking pawls, ensuring loss-free power transmission.

DT Swiss Ratchet EXP:

The freehub body system operates with two toothed discs, each featuring 36 teeth. This ensures loss-free power transmission, extreme durability and virtually no play when pedalling. The freehub bodies can be fitted without tools and easily converted to HG or XD.

DT Swiss Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheels. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheels.
