Rear wheel: Rohloff Speedhub 500 14

The rear wheel featuring the Rohloff Speedhub 500/14 CC DB with disc mount, fully laced with a Rohloff hub, rim and spokes of your choice.

We build these wheelsets for you in your desired combination as a bespoke order. We use exclusively DT Competition spokes with DT Prolock nipples. As a bespoke item, there is no right of withdrawal for this product; delivery is by prepayment only. This item is not eligible for a discount.

Rohloff Speedhub 500/14

14 gears evenly spaced with the shifting capacity of a 27-speed MTB derailleur. Compact and low-maintenance, housed in a lightweight aluminium casing. Forced gear selection, straight chainline, low running costs and low weight. The advantages of the Rohloff Speedhub speak for themselves. High reliability, optimal gear ratios, a wide overall gear range, virtually maintenance-free and extremely simple operation are the key features. Low weight and high efficiency leave nothing to be desired. The sealed gearbox guarantees a long service life even under extreme conditions. The uniform gear spacing of 13.6 per cent enables the rider to always ride at their optimum performance level. A total gear ratio of 526 per cent ensures the right gear is available for every riding situation. The Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 is operated via a twist shifter, which uses a separate cable for both upshifting and downshifting to directly control the hub. Unlike all previous gear systems, gear indexing takes place not in the shifter but directly in the gearbox, resulting in minimal wear and the need for adjustment.

Rohloff Speedhub CC DB EX:

The CC axle plate for classic installation with torque support and quick-release axle, for vertical dropouts. The torque support is included in the scope of delivery.

Rohloff Speedhub CC DB EX OEM:

The CC OEM axle plate is for Rohloff dropouts with quick-release axles only. The tab on the CC OEM axle plate hooks directly into the Rohloff dropout. No additional torque support is required.

Rohloff Speedhub CC DB EX OEM 2:

The CC OEM 2 axle plate for vertical dropouts with quick-release axle and torque support at the IS2000 disc brake mount. If disc brakes are also fitted, the Rohloff Speedbone is additionally required.

• Hub contents: Quick-release hub with housing cover for mounting the Rohloff special brake disc, handle, cables, external cable routing, CC OEM2 axle plate for torque support at the IS2000 disc brake mount and quick-release components, 16 Rohloff plug-in sprockets.
• The Speedbone (item no. 8550) or Monkey Bone (8553/8554) are also required

Rohloff Speedhub CC DB EX PM:

The CC PM axle plate for vertical dropouts with quick-release axle and torque support on the Post Mount 6 disc brake mount. If disc brakes are also fitted, the Rohloff Speedbone is additionally required.

• Hub contents: Quick-release hub with housing cover for mounting the Rohloff special brake disc, handle, cables, external gear cable routing, CC PM axle plate for torque support at the Post Mount 6 disc brake mount and quick-release components, 16 Rohloff plug-in sprockets.
• The PM Bone (item no. 8555) is also required. The PM Bone also acts as a Post Mount adapter for the next size disc

• The Rohloff Speedhub OEM is supplied without a chain tensioner; the Speedhub 500/14 DB comes with a Rohloff chain tensioner
• Mavic or DT 26-inch rim
• Spokes: DT Swiss Competition 2.0 x 1.8 mm, black or silver
• DT Swiss Prolock spoke nipples, black, brass or aluminium
• Hand-laced and perfectly trued in our workshop.
