DT Swiss 240 EXP Disc hubs plus TRS+ DH rims

The high-end all-mountain trail and enduro 29-inch rear wheel featuring the new DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs and e*thirteen TRS+ rims with a 27 mm rim width. The new, super-robust DT Swiss 240 EXP Classic hubs with the Ratchet EXP system are rated for a system weight of 140 kg yet remain lightweight

We offer the wheelsets with freehub bodies for Shimano HG, SRAM XD and Shimano Microspline cassettes. The hubs are available in all standard mounting widths from quick-release to Super Boost thru-axle, Disc 6-bolt and Disc Centerlock. The Centerlock hubs are not available in all mounting sizes

DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs:

With the DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs, minimal weight combined with extremely good durability is something of a rarity, particularly in hub construction. The new axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The ‘EXP’ in the DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs stands for the integration of the gear ring and threaded ring, which reduces the number of components and thus the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability. The complete interlocking of the ring gears creates a large contact area and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 EXP hubs. The patented freehub body features interlocking sprockets, ensuring loss-free power transmission.

e*thirteen TRS plus rim:

The Plus version of the TRS rim with a welded rim joint for even greater stability. A durable and lightweight rim for all-mountain and enduro use. The TRS+ rim is highly resistant to dents and is, of course, also tubeless-ready. The 27 mm rim width of the TRS+ is ideal for most tyre sizes. This ensures optimal tyre support.

Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:

We hand-build these wheelsets exclusively for you. Thanks to over 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in concentricity, durability and stiffness from the material. These wheelsets are, of course, tested multiple times; we also pre-load the spokes in both the radial and lateral directions. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period. We use DT Swiss spokes exclusively. These ensure outstanding durability of the wheelsets. For DH and Enduro use, we recommend brass nipples.

DT Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheels. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheels. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, DT Competition spokes enable wheel building of the highest standard. Thanks to the tapered middle section, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or durability. Weight with nipple approx. 7 grams

DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes:

Designed for stable, laterally stiff yet aerodynamic wheelsets, the DT Swiss Aero Comp spoke in the straight-pull version is first cold-forged in the middle section, making it lighter and stronger. In a further complex process, it is flat-forged to optimise aerodynamic properties whilst simultaneously increasing material strength. The DT Aero Comp guarantees a balanced combination of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability.

DT Swiss Aero Lite spokes:

The DT Swiss Aerolite spoke is flatter and lighter than any other; the DT Swiss Aerolite spoke features an aerodynamic flat profile and is extremely lightweight. Thanks to the 0.9 x 2.3 mm aerodynamic mid-section, this spoke can be fitted to all standard hubs. The Cold Forging Technology (CFT) developed by DT Swiss makes the reduced and forged DT Aerolite the lightest stainless steel spoke and gives it excellent mechanical properties. Particularly suitable for super-light and fast road or cross-country wheelsets. 64 DT Aerolite spokes weigh just an incredible 278 g at a length of 264 mm. Weight per spoke at a length of 264 mm: 4.31 grams

DT Squorx spoke nipples:

The DT Swiss Squorx Pro Head nipple combines ease of installation with light weight thanks to the DT Pro Head shape, combined with an additional Torx and square tool socket. The Torx socket provides a larger contact area during wheel building, ensuring that the force from the tool is better distributed across the nipple. The spherical contact area within the rim guarantees perfect alignment with the spoke.
