Mavic Crossmax SL S UST Force Disc rims:

The 25 mm wide rims, made from high-strength Maxtal aluminium, are extremely lightweight thanks to ISM4D weight optimisation, and offer excellent lateral stiffness thanks to their asymmetrical spoke lacing. The ISMD 4 technology on the rims saves every gramme for reduced inertia and better acceleration. The new Black Shield hardened rims are extra robust and scratch-resistant. Even in the event of punctures, the rims remain black at the damaged point. The new hookless rim shape is more aerodynamic and faster. The Force threads for the spoke holes are incorporated into the rims through material displacement. This ensures rims that are 20 per cent stiffer compared to conventional drilled rims. The rim flange is additionally welded and milled flat. Thanks to the asymmetrical rim design, braking and drive forces are absorbed evenly, which increases the service life. The Crossmax SLS rims are suitable for UST, tubeless tyres, Tubeless Ready tyres and standard tyres with an additional inner tube.

Mavic Force Alu:

A tubeless rim that is 20 per cent stiffer and ultra-durable. Thanks to this innovation, a thread is created at the same time as the spoke hole is drilled. The spokes are screwed directly into the rim wall without nipples and secured. Only one of the two rim walls is drilled through, leaving the upper rim flange intact. No rim tape is required, saving 30 g and increasing stiffness. It is the most reliable tubeless system with easy tyre fitting.

Mavic Blackshild:

Thanks to a unique double treatment of the rim – a first black anodised layer coated with a second satin-finished layer – resistance to impacts and scratches is twice that of a conventional wheel. The lifespan against stone chips and scratches is twice as long: the rim remains black upon impact and has a distinctive matt finish.

High-strength stainless steel spokes offer very high strength and durability.

Mavic Infinity Disc Hubs:

The tried-and-tested Mavic QRM auto industrial bearings are used in the Infinity hubs. The widened bearing spacing ensures torsional stiffness of the hub, whilst the new spoke mounting ensures effective power transmission. Equipped with the Instant Drive toothed freehub body and the ORM Auto axle system. The self-aligning bearing system of the rear hub, QRM Auto, combined with the toothed freehub, ensures maintenance-free operation over a long period.

Mavic Instant Drive 360 freewheel body

The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super-light and ensures rapid power transfer with an engagement angle of just 9 degrees. A large, contact-free rubber seal reduces friction. And a wide selection of axle stubs ensures compatibility with many mounting standards. The oversized aluminium axle and the hardened aluminium freehub body save 40 g. Two pawls ensure fast and loss-free engagement. A radial seal guarantees low friction at high speeds and perfect water resistance. This freehub body is easy to convert and is available as an HG10 version for Shimano 8-11-speed / Sram 8-10-speed, Sram XD 11- and 12-speed, and Shimano 12-speed Micro Spline.
